So I realized that I haven’t talked about the Easter Challenge on my own personal blog… here’s the scoop. A few months ago my friend Natalie of 5MillionMinus1 gave me a little ring-a-ling on the phone to ask if I would write a “Guest Blog” so… here’s what happened…
-I said yes not knowing what in the World I was going to say
-God convicted, I answered
-Shared my heart
-Orphans were cared for!
-God was Glorified
You can read the original post here… then the story gains momentum here and here and here and well… all over our little “Social Media” world via Facebook and Twitter and before I knew it entire churches, youth groups and many families I don’t even know were accepting the “Easter Challenge” and every last cent goes to feed and care for orphans via Feeding the Orphans.
So many of my friends joined in this cause… and I’ve seen quite a few pictures of people rockin’ their Orphan shirts but none quite as moving as this one...
There she stands amid all the Easter hype and her shirt proclaims it all, she chose to feed a hungry child, she chose to make a difference… talk about making this little Children's Church Teacher BAWL like a baby, try looking out at your class and seeing that while their sweet little voices sing "I will Rise," whew, God is awesome.
