Fall Field Trips

A Fall field trip... oh so great for the Big Sis. Our first stop... Birthplace to President Abraham Lincoln. There's so much to be learned...
Log cabin at Knob Creek

"My earliest recollection is of the Knob Creek place."
It was at Knob Creek that Abraham first saw African - Americans being taken south along the Louisville - Nashville Turnpike, to be sold as slaves, an injustice he would spend his life trying to right.

Stella and her classmates counting the 57 steps of the memorial... one for each year of Lincoln's life.

An official photo-op once she gain "Junior Ranger" status at the Linocoln National Historical Park, a pretty big deal in the Fox Family.

After gaining so much knowledge for the day the kiddos headed out to a local farm to find some of their favorite Fall treats... a true gentleman (Stella's buddy Isaac) helps a Gal with her pumpkin.

Finally, a quick hayride was in order before we could call the day complete.
