It was time... Jay and I had been wanting to share this with our LGC family for nearly a year so during this season as he finds himself with a platform and serving as Interim Pastor he did it... He challenged us to be...


We were fearful of how they would take it... concerned they may not want it... or worse, not care. The series based on David Platt's book, was filled with the idea of taking back your faith from the American Dream, learning how to live if dieing is gain.

One particular week rocked our world... God provided a chance for us to share Feeding The Orphans, a ministry we care deeply about, with our church family. Sweet Sydney O'Leary and her family shared their story with LGC of how God called them to simply step out in faith and he has used them to provide clean water, food and the love of Jesus to the children of Ghana. I can't tell you the emotions that ran through me that morning... from the first hug with Kristie, to their story, to her recounts of my Easter Challenge... but NOTHING prepared me for the reaction of our people... I walked into the lobby to find lines (yes, plural) of people stepping up to support FTO, I took a moment to soak it in... God moved in a mighty way that morning.

But it didn't stop there... our people began to challenge US. We want to help they proclaimed... and now we find ourselves in the midst of a church-wide campaign joining forces with Feeding The Orphans for...
