Fall Break

Stella has been learning so much about the pioneer era at school we took advantage of her Fall Break and continued the learning experience with a trip to Cumberland Gap.

Once we left Cumberland Gap we made decided to make the trek down to hit another National Park... Great Smoky Mountains National Park to do just a tad more hiking and hopefully spot a few bears!

But then we saw this sign... and we LOVE Maine so much we were very tempted to head down this trail....
But we just weren't quite prepared... so we decided to make our way up to Clingman's Dome the highest point in the Smoky Mountain National Park @ 6,643 feet!

We borrowed my parents camper and made a long weekend out of it.The girls love camping and we do to! It was such a great chance for some much needed quite and family time.We finished each night by the campfire...
