what was meant to be somewhat of a "Gag" gift for my husband from his Mom last year at Christmas... it's no secret that boy loved him some Scooby as a young child. But when he discovered the Mystery Machine was filled with the first three seasons of his favorite childhood cartoon he couldn't wait to share it with his girls. So almost nightly the threesome share an episode of Scooby... it's their Daddy time and a chance to wind down and snuggle up to end the day.
So when Stella asked to have a Scooby Party this year how could I resist? I've watched this routine develop into a special time for my little family so what better way to celebrate our Big Gore turning 6???
We had a blast planning for the party... our home was filled with Mystery Machines and Scooby Snacks for nearly a week as we used afternoon craft time to create posters, centerpieces and Doggie Bags! Jay and I worked secretly on a "Mystery" for the kiddos to solve...
After enjoying Hot Dogs, Scooby Snacks and watching the first ever episode of Scooby Doo, "What a night for a Knight!" (circa 1969) Stella and her friends discovered that her gifts were MISSING and they had to solve the mystery!!!
The "Gang" ran from clue to clue until finally discovering the presents were hidden in the "MYSTERY MACHINE" (Uncle Charlie and T.T. were such troopers working some great magic on their van to develop a look-alike).
All in all a fun night filled with a great Mystery and lots of fun! See for yourself!
